Mariah Carey has admitted that she threatened to sack her staff if they accidentally stepped on the train of her dress at a Las Vegas concert.

Mariah Carey threatened to sack her staff if they stepped on her dress. The 'Hero' singer - who is renowned for being a diva with an enviable entourage of personal assistants and helpers - admits she became over-protective of her long evening gown when she performed at a Las Vegas concert. She told Britain's Hello! magazine: 'I work out most of my outfits with my stylist. I opened the show in a Tony Ward crystal-beaded minidress with a full tulle skirt like a ballerina, inspired by a princess, of course. Why not? 'My second was a long black gown with coloured sequins by Marc Bouwer - I love dressing up but I kept stepping on the lace train of the dress and so did all my entourage who walked behind me. I threatened to fire them all if they stepped out of line again.' Although she was tough with her entourage, Mariah was a lot softer with her dog after he ruined one of outfits by urinating on her. The 40-year-old star was devastated when Jack Russell terrier Cha Cha had an accident as she was getting ready to perform. Mariah wrote on her Twitter page: 'OK so Cha Cha just peed on the floor in my dressing room and then decided to jump on top of me as I am doing my make-up. 'Real classy' here.'
